How do I get started?
There are two ways to get connected with Ohana.

Our admissions team will help connect you with the appropriate level of care. We are here to support your family every step of the way, from outpatient services to our higher levels of care, including Intensive Outpatient (IOP), Partial Hospitalization (PHP), and Residential Treatment Program (RTP).
What new patients can expect at Ohana
Upon initial contact, our team will gather basic demographic and insurance information to create or verify your child’s chart in our system.
Outpatient care Outpatient care
We’ll send you a new patient packet and schedule two appointments: an evaluation to assess your child’s diagnosis and a follow-up to discuss treatment recommendations. Need help with the packet? Call 831-642-6201, option 5.
Subsequent outpatient appointments
For psychotherapy: Our team will reach out to find a time that works for you. Therapy appointments are typically scheduled weekly or bi-weekly in blocks of four sessions.For group therapy: These sessions are held on weekday evenings for 6–14 weeks.If occupational therapy is recommended: A follow-up evaluation will be scheduled, and a treatment plan will be developed, with weekly or bi-weekly appointments.
Your child’s outpatient care team may include up to four Ohana providers, depending on their needs.
Higher levels of care Higher levels of care
For Intensive Outpatient (IOP), Partial Hospitalization (PHP), and Residential Treatment Program (RTP), our team will collect basic demographic and insurance details to create or verify your child’s chart in our system. We will then arrange an intake appointment for you and your child with our admissions team.
After we obtain insurance authorization and receive approval from our medical director, we will schedule your child’s first day of treatment. On admission day, you can expect to meet several members of our interdisciplinary treatment team. The process may take a few hours and will include:
A meeting with our team
Obtaining your signature for consent forms and releases of information
An orientation to the program’s curriculum
Information about our family program
A review of the program’s code of conduct
Time for any questions you may have
Please note:
Our PHP program is day treatment, Monday through Friday during school hours
Our RTP is overnight care, with a typical length of stay ranging from 3 to 4 weeks
